When your guests open your wedding invitation, it’s about more than just the date and time — it’s their very first glimpse into the experience you’re creating.
A well-designed wedding invitation suite sets the tone for your day, hints at the style and formality, and gives your guests all the details they need to celebrate with you.
It formally invites your guests to the wedding ceremony and typically includes the most important information.
Design-wise, this piece often reflects the heart of your wedding aesthetic — whether it’s romantic and floral, clean and modern, or traditional and timeless.
Do you need it? Yup, sure do! This one is non-negotiable.
Think of this as the helpful best friend to your main invitation.
The details card gives your guests practical information, such as:
It keeps the main invitation uncluttered while still providing everything your guests need to know.
Do I need it? Probably. The two primary reasons, if your ceremony and reception are at different locations, and if you are opting for a digital RSVP, you will need to include that information on the Details Card.
While many couples opt for online RSVPs today, a printed RSVP card still feels incredibly personal and elegant.
This card asks guests to respond by a certain date and may include meal choices if you’re offering options at your reception.
Do I need it? Technically, no. There are other ways to receive your RSVP’s from guests. Does it add a touch of class and sophistication? Yes, yes it does. And seriously, how cute is that chicken?
The outer envelope protects your suite and is usually addressed to your guests.
For very formal weddings, you might also have an inner envelope, which holds the suite neatly together and can more specifically list who is invited (especially if you’re inviting only certain members of a household).
Do I need it? Yes, you need at least one envelope, unless you have a special relationship with a large group of carrier pigeons.
Envelope liners are a gorgeous way to elevate the first impression.
They add a pop of color, texture, or a hint of your theme — think watercolor vineyards, monograms, floral patterns, or even a custom venue sketch.
While not required, they are a detail your guests will absolutely notice (and they are included in our custom package).
Do I need it? No, BUT, not all envelopes are equal. Some are thinner and just not as nice as others. When you add an envelope liner to a thinner envelope, it increases the thickness and sturdiness of the envelope making it appear more luxurious.
Every element in your invitation suite plays a role in the bigger picture.
Together, they create a cohesive experience — offering both beauty and function, artistry and clarity.
It’s not just paper; it’s your story, beautifully told from the very first moment.
At Someday Press, we specialize in crafting invitation suites that feel timeless, intentional, and personal — whether you’re planning an elegant vineyard wedding or an intimate garden ceremony.
